Currently I have begun work on images from a trip to Aotearoa - New Zealand, hopefully to show at Gallery Unbound some time in the not too distant future.

Earlier exhibitions

Grounded 2025

Gallery Unbound at 497 High St Northcote was the scene for my most recent exhibition, which I shared with three other artists. It was a great chance to show a miscellaneous lot of 36 works.  This very supportive and welcoming gallery enables works to remain on their website which is great. Here you can see some of those from the exhibition plus some others I have shown since.

Eyes Wide Open 2023

This exhibition featured a miscellany of works, many resulting from a trip on the Ghan. They included images from Simpsons's Gap, The Breakaways near Coober Pedy and Katherine Gorge. There are also a number of works done with flow paints which I find both very messy and quite a lot of fun.

Let's Get Loose with Compassion 2022

My hope was to raise awareness of the plight of many people seeking asylum in Australia. They have left their own countries because of serious dangers there, but the Australian government policies have often provided greater trauma rather than safety. Situations vary greatly but many have experienced indefinite detention, many have not been given permission to work and many suffer poor health. Fortunately there are many in our country who, seeing these people as fellow human beings do what they can to provide justice, compassion and a warm welcome. We need the government to adopt the same approach.

Five women in this situation allowed me to paint them to help me raise awareness of these issues. I am very grateful to them. The five paintings are here.
